2. Data we process

Browsing data

The computer systems running the Website collect, in the normal course of their operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet protocols, such as the IP address, browser type, date and time of the request and the resource requested. This data is used only to ensure that the Website works correctly and securely, and is kept in the server logs only for as long as strictly necessary for these purposes.

Data you provide voluntarily

When you fill in the contact form or write to the e-mail address shown on the Website, we receive your name, e-mail address, telephone number (optional) and any other personal data you include in your message. The form sends this data to the Controller by e-mail: it is not saved in any archive or database of the Website.

Please do not include health data or other special categories of personal data in your messages.

Online bookings

The “Book now” buttons open the online booking system of an external provider, on a different website. The data you enter there is processed according to that provider’s privacy policy and the information given during the booking.

Cookies

The Website uses technical cookies and, only with your consent, statistics cookies and third-party content (Google Maps). Details are in the Cookie Policy.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Replying to your requests for information and bookings sent through the contact form or by e-mail: the legal basis is the performance of pre-contractual measures taken at your request and the Controller’s legitimate interest in replying to messages received (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR).
  • Operation and security of the Website, including the prevention of abuse and spam: the Controller’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
  • Statistical analysis of the use of the Website with Google Analytics: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).
  • Displaying the Google Maps map on the home page and on the “Contacts” page: your consent, which you may withdraw at any time (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Providing the data requested in the form is optional, but without it we cannot respond to your request. The data is not used for marketing purposes and is not subject to automated decision-making, including profiling.

4. How we process data and recipients

Data is processed electronically, with organisational and security measures appropriate to protect it. It may be processed by the Controller’s authorised staff and by the companies providing hosting, website maintenance and e-mail services, acting as data processors. Data is not disclosed to the public.

If you accept external content or statistics cookies, some browsing data is collected by Google Ireland Limited (Google Maps and Google Analytics). Google may transfer data to the United States: these transfers are based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and on the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by Google.

5. Data retention

Data sent through the form or by e-mail is kept for as long as necessary to handle the request and the related correspondence and, in any case, for no more than 24 months, unless a contractual relationship (for example a booking) arises or the law requires longer retention. Statistical data is kept according to the Google Analytics settings, for no more than 14 months.

6. Your rights

You may exercise at any time the rights provided for by Articles 15–22 GDPR: access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to processing based on legitimate interest. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise your rights, write to info@hotelsvevia.it.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the EU Member State where you live or work.
